trying git on windows

now it is time to play with the next toy.. git that is, with github.

tried tortoisegit. not very good, documentation poor etc., nothing like the polish of tortoisesvn.

gitextensions seems to be preferred by many. so off to uninstall the cygwin git versions and install gitextensions. this nicely also gives me a bash here menu item to windows explorer..

from here http://kylecordes.com/2008/git-windows-go is a good set of instructions, just modified for my own repository..

and then i follow the instructions on the above link.. cheers.
